You can take the boy out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the boy!

Having been born and raised in Nanaimo, BC, the city is one that not only shaped my upbringing, but also had a tremendous impact on who I have become. From my early years spent at Fairview Elementary, NDSS, and Malaspina University-College, to many early mornings at the Civic and Frank Arenas and late nights at Westwood Lake or the parking lot at the Harewood 7/11, Nanaimo is woven into the fabric of my life.

In my early twenties, my dreams and aspirations charted a path that initially led me to Victoria, then on to Halifax to complete law school at Dalhousie University, and back to Victoria to begin my practice. Fifteen years later, with two young children and a successful Victoria-based law firm under my belt, a friend posed a question to me that I did not have a good answer for…He asked: “why, since you have so many friends and family in Nanaimo, do you not have an office here?” It was in that moment that the idea to open Infinity Law’s Nanaimo office was born.

A New Class of Lawyers for Nanaimo

In 2015, our new office experiment began as exactly that…a toe dipped gently into the water to test whether our existing relationships and ties to the city could be the catalyst for a thriving new law firm in Nanaimo. We subleased a small office downtown and worked hard to demonstrate what Infinity Law and our experienced lawyers are all about. In only five years, and with the help of our business partners at Oceanvale Mortgage and Finance, we now have a full-service law firm in Nanaimo located at 102-4535 Uplands Drive.

What This Means for You

We understand that some of you may view us as city folks coming to Nanaimo to take business away from local lawyers, while others ignore us entirely. However, the truth is, this is really just the story of a Nanaimo boy and his intelligent, humble, and caring team of professionals returning home to give back to the region that made me who I am today.
