Business Immigration and the BC PNP

This stream provides a pathway for high net worth business people that are seeking to establish themselves, invest in and actively manage a business in the province.

In partnership with the Federal Government of Canada and in accordance with the 2015 Canada-British Columbia Immigration Agreement (CBCIA), the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration stream offers a pathway to be nominated for permanent residence in Canada.

Qualifying for the BC PNP Entrepreneur Stream

In order to qualify for this immigration stream, you must demonstrate:

• A minimum personal net worth of $600,000
• Previous business ownership and/or senior management experience
• A minimum business investment of $200,000
• Hiring at least one full time employee that is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

This point-based entry system ensures applicants with the highest allotted points receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to the program. To receive an ITA, applicants must first register online and receive a final point assessment from the BC PNP office.

Those with the highest scores are entered into a qualifying pool of applicants to be drawn from on a monthly basis to receive an ITA.

The most recent BC PNP Entrepreneur draw was on September 19, 2018 with a minimum qualifying score of 114 points. Of the 18 people invited into the program this month in the entire province, Infinity Law assisted 3 clients in receiving ITAs to begin the process of establishing and building their businesses in British Columbia!
