Joe Braun
Lawyer
jbraun@infinity-law.comJoe grew up in the interior of BC and fled to Victoria to do his undergrad at the University of Victoria beginning in 2011. He took a meandering route through his undergrad ultimately finishing with a BSc. in Psychology and a desire to go to law school. Before starting law school Joe spent his summers working as a wildland fire fighter in Alberta and assisted with some notable forest fires including the Elephant Hill fires of 2017 in BC and the Fort McMurray fire of 2016. After inhaling more smoke than is good for anyone, Joe spent the summer before law school as a gravedigger at Ross Bay Cemetery and then took a few more laps around the UVic campus for his JD.
During law school Joe found a passion for advocacy and litigation with a focus on acting as a problem solver. Joe enjoys working with his clients to find solutions and is generally in favour of pragmatic steps rather than litigious ones. That being said, Joe isn’t afraid to get in the trenches and zealously advocate for his clients. Joe is happy to take on clients in all areas of litigation, but has an affinity for contract disputes, wills and estates variations and challenges, and builder’s liens.
Outside of litigation, Joe enjoys assisting businesses with corporate and commercial matters and is often made fun of for his love of drafting and reviewing contracts. Nerd.
Joe spends most of his spare time golfing and hopes to be in contention for the best golfer at Infinity within the next couple years. Joe also enjoys woodworking and rebuilding motorcycles. Joe has a dog and a cat, and he’ll happily show you pictures if you ask.
